Green Eyed 03:36
Green-eyed, by your side My smile hides, what's inside Firefight, every night We're so uptight, need to be right We fall through all The worlds that we made Inside our minds We hide Up close, you see the holes It's our ghosts we fear the most Feel in the air words that weren't there We never dared, killed by our cares We fall through all The worlds that we made Inside our minds We hide We fall behind, misread the signs Scared of time, we draw the line We fall through all The worlds that we made Inside our minds We hide

What If 03:24
What if you changed, what if I tried? What if I lose my pride? What if I'm wrong, what if you're right? Nobody wins this fight What if I stay, what if you go? Nobody needs to know What if it's lies, what if it's true? It's between me and you Is this the end, is this the start? Are they that far apart? Is this our fate, is this our choice Or is it just empty noise? If I can't move, if I can't feel Does it sill count as real? If I can't speak, if I can't breathe Maybe it's time to leave We lost all faith By playing safe for a while We lost our place And found our way Is this our chance, is this our time? Will it all work out fine? Where do we go, where does this end? Will there be time to mend What if we run, what if we hide? What will we leave behind? What if it's great, what if it's not? We'll give it all we've got!

Is This It? 04:13
Maybe we're somewhere, or maybe we're not And what if this somewhere is not what we thought? Spent our lives trying to get here, didn't like what we got But now that we've got here, seems the point's been forgot Maybe we'll make it, or maybe we won't But why live on in fear of what happens if we don't? Who's to say if we've done right? What does anyone know? Cos we're all in the same fight, far too scared to let go And oh, but this can't last forever So why do we run to the end? While we keep on saying never Lies are much easier to bend than break Under all of this pressure Something is starting to wake Maybe it came here, and now maybe it's gone We thought that we'd found it, but turned out to be wrong Spent so long trying to see clear, everything had moved on We've been chasing a shadow that was never that long And oh, but this can't last forever So why do we run to the end? While we keep on saying never Lies are much easier to bend than break Under all of this pressure Something is starting to wake

We go over all the things we did and said Too many different voices echo in our heads Sometimes it's hard just getting out of bed It's only when we sleep We don't feel so weak These different stories tell themselves across the years Familiar patterns in our worries and our fears We measure out our lives in happiness and tears It's only when we sleep We don't feel so weak And all of this will keep So let's go back to sleep Feels like falling, but we don't leave the ground Hear it calling, with no sound Another morning watching every minute pass We hear the voices but we're not sure what they asked We make ourselves a promise "This will be the last!" The future disappears into the past From now we'll let time begin Stop caring if we lose our win Don't think until we're too far in It's only when we sleep We don't feel so weak And all of this will keep So let's go back to sleep Feels like falling but we don't leave the ground Hear it calling, with no sound Feels like falling, but we don't leave the ground Hear it calling, with no sound It's only when we sleep

The silence now speaks a thousand words That in endless conversations were never heard Late at night, when the world's asleep It's these silent conversations that we keep And the world turns on around us as we sleep Every story always ends Every broken spirit mends Close the door tight, let the world fight Cos it's alright when we're here The darkness now holds a thousand dreams But when daylight comes they're nowhere to be seen Late at night, as we lie awake It's these tiny silent moments that we take And we hold them tightly, trying not to break Every story always ends Every broken spirit mends Close the door tight, let the world fight Cos it's alright when we're here Late at night, when the world's asleep It's these silent conversations that we keep And the world turns on around us as we sleep

about

Their new and third EP, Sleeptalking, encapsulates how much they and their music have grown over the past year with a fuller, more cinematic soundscape and reflective feel. Strings play a prominent part and their storytelling lyrics have a more powerful drive than previous EPs, from the anger of Green Eyed and defiance of What If, to the affirmation on Only When We Sleep all coming to a beautiful close with the closing lullaby track, Silent Conversations.

Their music is intimate yet powerful, haunting yet uplifting, described by Tom Robinson on BBC6 radio as an “emotional cannonball”. They combine elements of Sharon van Etten, Laura Veirs, Feist and Elbow to create a sound that is organic and unique.
